    Hello!

I have read some posts similar to my subject, but I think my problem is different.

When I installed my Benq DVD-burner in my PC, my DVD-rom (which I can't take out from the PC) stopped working at all!

And when I start my computer a messages comes (before windows xp shows up).
The message is something like this: Didn't found driver A:...

But when i put my CD-burner instead of my DVD-burner, then it works...

So, can anybody help me with this problem?

you have a conflict between the drives because they are jumpered the same when they are supposed to be different. on the back of the drive is a jumper that can be black, white, blue or whatever. that jumper sits on 1 of 3 columns of pins, 6 total. the 2 vertical pins closes to the power connector is master, the middle 2 is slave & the last 2 is cable select. do a comparison of the dvd burner to the cd burner & put the jumper to same poistion as the cd burner as it works.
