When i put my headphones in my speakers still work.

    Never had this problem before with my PC and have no idea where to start looking.

    When i plug in my head phones my PC speakers continue working alongside my headphones. i.e. i get sound through both at the same time.

    Any advice would be great.

    This is very normal the only way it would mute the speakers are if the speakers were internal speakers which were built in like is done in a laptop. It does the same with my pc i just turn my speakers off wehen i wish to use the headphones

    Thats strange - the last 4 - 5 pcs i have built have all auto muted when i put in the head phones.

    Very strange!!!!!

    Shame the volume control doesn't work on my speakers - time for some new ones maybe.
