When I wake up my computer from hybernation, it won't access the internet. When I do the troubleshoot, it does work. It says ''Local Area Connection'' doesn't have a valid IP configuration. Then it says that it has fixed it. I have windows 7 and I have updated my network driver.

    Here is the report:

If you're connected to a hotspot or domain network, contact the network administrator. Otherwise: 1. Unplug or turn off the device. 2. After all the lights on the device are off, wait at least 10 seconds. 3. Turn the device on or plug it back into the power outlet. To restart a router or modem that has a built-in battery, press and quickly release the Reset button.

    Murrrr456,

Have you confirmed that your router is indeed compatible with Windows 7? Also, Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to also check the threads available there for additional assistance and feedback.

What a strange thing to say/ask. It's a router, Windows 7 is irrelevant.. Network drivers maybe, but routers, irrelevant.

I posted a thread in the Windows 7 networking forums. My computer is a bit over 1 year old and I have Asus P5Q motherboard. The network card is integrated into it. In the driver download page it is told that the driver is compatible with Windows 7. However it seems that the same driver is used for Xp, Vista and Windows 7.
