Got Directv, one reciver box, and i wanted the luxury of watching/recording tv on my pc, also a different channel than my tv. But all ive read is that satellite boxes have a decoder in it, so if i want to change channels, i have to do so through the box, which kinda defeats the purpose of what i want to do since i want to have different channels on tv and pc.
To me, it doenst make sense that i should pay 6 bux a month extra to watch a different channel another tv. cable doesnt do that, 5 bux at walmart for a splitter and i can get that feature on 3 tvs all for free.
is there a tv tuner card for satellite users since channels go up to 300+?

You might be out of luck since I couldn't find one. But I didn't do an extensive search. If I see one I will post back.
