Where Are the Subtitles?

    I'm trying to burn a movie to DVD. The video file is MP4 and the subtitle track I want is an SRT file. The movie plays perfectly fine on my PC, but when I copied the movie to disc and played it back on my TV, the subtitles weren't there. I'm sure I'm screwing up somewhere. So my question is how do I copy this movie and subtitles to a disc that can be viewed on the television?
