I'm brand new to the DS scene and I've been modding for years. I have all the systems and they're all modded including running homebrew on my psp. I've seen the passme devices on sites for months now but I just barely got my DS. I need to know how to get started. I didn't see any threads that were stickied with how to sections. Can someone please provide me with a link to a tutorial explaining what I need to do to get started enjoying all the benefits of my new DS? Thanks

so if you were me and you were just getting started, knowing what you know, what would you buy? Which flashme passkey whatever its all confusing to me. All I have at this point is:

    Nintendo DS
    Card reader on my PC

What else do I need to buy. Which product is the best? What do I do?? I want to play backups

to play NDS Roms on your DS you will need

Supercard SD is about 25 UKPounds
around 1 GB SD Card about 20 UKPounds
and superpass 1 or 2 depending on what version of DS you have i recommend just getting superpass 2 its about 15 UKPounds
you will also have to have a orignal game for the superpass

Seems quite a bit just for homebrew, psp is all free, all you need is a psp and a decent memory stick..lol

Though it may be free for a psp you always have to avoid the latest firmwares etc. The new 2.7 for the PSP for instance can't play homebrew at all (yet)

I have both a PSP 1.5 and a DS with everything to run homebrew so I have the best of both worlds :p

Anyhows, back to the topic, what stuartdb reccommends will do, you could replace the Supercard SD with an M3 SD maybe? but thats just my opinion of M3 being better quality.
