I used dvd decrypter. The file created in DVD Shrink shows to be about 4G.. a one hour program. DVD Shrink tells me I do not have enough room to make image: that the file is 4G and only 3G is available. I check the properties of the _ts file and it shows to be 7G or so. Why these apparently contradictory readings? I have cleaned out all the previous _ts files I can find. So on a 30G drive with about 15G available I have a 7G Decrypter file and 3G available. I'm confused.
Ion, have you been deleting the movie.ISO on your Local Disk (C) drive? After Shrink encodes the movie is is saved on your C drive ready to be burned. After you burned your movie you really need to delete the files is made so all the free space isn't used up.
open up the my Computer Icon right click your C disc ..click on properties and see if your file system is Fat 32 .. if it is it needs to be a NTFS file system check link how to change http://forums.techguy.org/t317633.html good luck gringle
I'm still wrestling with this and tried a workaround: I plugged in a larger disk. Ok for that but I'm still having problems. I decrypted the program on dvd again. When I sent it to DVD Shrink it chucked it out with a Windows error and so would not complete. I see this as a different problem from the Fat32 which has not stopped me from doing programs of the same size. I use Win98SE and Mepis Linux for operating systems. The copy scheme on the dvd disk is CSS/CPPM if that is any clue.
I'm afraid if you're using 98se your stuck with the Fat32 file system. Because of the file size limitations about 3gig, I believe a lot of the movies you will be trying to rip need a larger file size. download this tool see if it helps with your decryptions. http://www.dvd43.com/ I don't know how to resolve, or if this can be resolved, without an upgrade to at least Windows 2000 maybe some of the others know 'a few work arounds?' Further to this I understand with W98 and ME use DVD Decrypter in file mode and download directly onto you hard drive. best of luck gringle
