Ever since I was forced to upgrade to sp2 3 weeks ago, needed for a app install, I am losing over 3GB of space. Ran Ccleaner and your uninstaller, and it cleaned the temp & internet files. But where the hell did 3GB go? I searched the HD for all files over 100MB, including system and hidden, but nothing funky showed up. Thanks in advance.

I dont know- I thought that it was a 100MB download, otherwise it would have taken forever for me to download.

Yeah but the file you download actually downloads and installs more files. So you lost 3gigs to SP3

    @ AssPirate : Bullsh*t. SP2 is 327 MB's max.
It's only 266 MB's for the IT pro deployment package.

@ lindnerwm : Tried defragmentation and chkdsk yet?

I will try both, but not confident. It had the space available after the install/upgrade.

Why don't you turn off system restore then turn it back on.. You will gain alot of hd space back that way, the only problem with that is you shouldn't make alot of changes to your PC until it creates another restore point around midnight.. Hopefully you won't have to roll your computer back after you do that, geez that would suck...
