where do i find discussion forums for my site?

i have a website, and im wanting to put a discussion forum on it.. but im having no luck finding one.

could anyone point me in the right direction?

Are there any software like AVG (free...) which is cheap to use but stable to use?

Loads of it here ! -- One thing you must take into consideration is web hosting to operate such a Forum -- It is not FREE. Bandwidth cost $$ -- !!

 

Ok... a few things..

What scripting does your host support, how much space do you have, how much bandwidth are you allowed etc..

www.phpbb.com is a free PHP forum, which you will need PHP and MySQL database.

You will need to know a fair bit about webdesign and to run a forum.
