I was just browseing the fourms here looking at diffrent things and I seen these Black box's,Starview's and clones.What are they are they like a fta box? How do they work do they run off sat or threw cable or a internet feed.I'm not even really interested in getting one,I was just looking for some knowledge on the subject.Thanks
They run off cable but can also use a broadband connection. They are supplied with FTA firmware to receive the free to air channels e.g. RTE, BBC1 etc., but when 'flashed' with the correct firmware will unscramble all channels provided by your cable company.
So you don't even need a Dish Then or Do ya?Do they get a ECMed?I run a Nfusion FTA And I still need a Dish Plus a Internet Connection. Also if not a need for a dish and it runs off cable alone.Do you have to have something like a sub box also or just a internet connection? Thanks Again
