Where do to buy LEDs?

I am going to replace my current LED in my gamecube. Where can I buy this LED?

Color could be green, blue, or purple.

 

heres my cube after i added some LEDs and crap, i got mine from a place called Jacar but im in australia so i guess thats sorta equivilent to radio shack

 

man thats a real nice system....u did the led mods all on your own?..did u customize that case or u bought it??? i was lookin for a led mod but i have no soderin skills and i cant find anywhere to send my system to get em done

 

all done myself.. it looks much nicer in real life as those pics are crap. its as simple as pie to do it. i really wanted to do more to it like i wanted another fan on the other side but the QOOB stopped that illd rather backups that a LED there anyway, and up the top i have a fan grill bolted there with a LED to illuminate it. dosnt look to bad but i wanted a LED fan on top just for the hell of it with the grill but i didnt wanna destroy my full size case if i stuffed it up so i left it as it is. wait till i do my brothers all silver cube, that will have leds comming out its ass and other funky stuff

 

haha damn bro u talented there....i wannna go all out on my cube like that dude but i have no clue where to start....so the top part is just a fan grill??? did u actually do the hole cutout in the middle or the fan grill is just placed on it? i would wanna attempt it but im sure u have to soder the leds and wire them and crap like that and i have like NO clue on how to soder...ive tried it i suck at it

 

nope just tiwist and clamp the legs of the resistors and crap to eachother, my dad owns a computer store so i just got all the fan grills and crap for free but i didnt cut the thing out from under it, i simply removes the facia and put a LED in the middle.

oh yea the grill is bolted on

 

I am talking about the main power on LED. What size is that led? A 3/5mm?

 

how did u remove the facia from the top???...ill probably end up buyin a grill from ebay and bolting that right up....and maybe spray paint my console a nice color

 

is that a full size case you are using or is that the original mini?

 

full size case, to remove the facia just open the lid and u can see 2 sorta pokey things at the top, lift those up and just pull it off

oh yea 3mm ones are the ones you want,but 5s do work too

 

one more question man....the fan...did u replace it with a computer fan??? whats the dimension of it by the way..60mm??

 

i couldnt find a correct GC sized fan with LEDs in it so i got a big processer or graphics card fan with LEDs cant remember the exact dimentions but it is just undersize, i just used some metal wire to keep it in place i got the metal from some used sparklers. also the power plug isnt the same the GC one has a red black this one had 3 so i had to find out which did what before i hacked it appart to get it perfect. but i really cant argue with the results, just the lights at the front use to pulsate as where u can see the dot in the middle had a multi coulor led with green red and blue and the blue Leds on the side use to pulsate when ever the lights changed colour, but that LED died and cant be screwed replacing it at the moment
