wel damon your are so n00bish , and stupid too , really read this ** FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS about TorrentBits/TorrentBits2 since a lot of ppl has been asking these same questions all over and over again on the irc-channel .. *** So.. here we go: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why was torrentbits.org closed? - Redbeard closed it because all of his friends left the site, most importantly, Helshad. torrentbits.org: Good-bye Thanks to all users, uploaders, mods and donors for helping create the best torrent site on the net, but this is where the road ends for us. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is there going to be a successor for TorrentBits? - Yeah. A site named TorrentBits2, it will be at www.torrentbits2.org The site is not ready yet. When it is ready - we can't give you exact answer for that, because there's still lots of things to do. 2-3 days would be a good estimation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How could I help you that TB2 would be opened as soon as possible? - Donating would be the best way. https://www.paypal.com/xclick/business=donations%40torrentbits2.org&item_name=TorrentBits+Survival+Fund&no_shipping=0&no_note=1&tax=0¤cy_code=GBP See this thread: http://websiteprofile.info/tb/viewtopic.php?t=217 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What about the uploaders? - Some of the uploaders from TB has announced that they will be uploaders for TB2. We've managed to get some new uploaders too. Just to mention some old names, bencknackan is with, r0dman is with us, MehdiB is with us, aohell is with us, fury420 is with us .. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Does the old TB accounts work for TB2? / Do we have the stats from TB? - No, Redbeard wiped the database. We will start from the scratch. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What about the userlimit? - The userlimit is going to be lower. Probably 25,000 users at first. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Are donators promised an account? - No. We can't promise that. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What's Cyphersworld? - Fake. Don't bother with that. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Where I can get more information? - From the IRC channel @ irc.freequest.net #tb2 - All new information about the site will be immediately announced at #tb2-info channel - Temporary forum can be found @ http://websiteprofile.info/tb/ THE SITE WILL BE OPENED WHEN IT'S READY. Don't come to the channel to ask these same questions again Estonian FAQ: http://www.hot.ee/toake/tb2-faq.txt Norwegian FAQ: http://rainmaker.ath.cx/norwegian-faq.txt so shutup n00b
can anybody tell me if the forum at websiteprofile.info/tb/ has moved? As I was reg'd on there a couple of days back, but now when I go there I just get a banner saying "This account has been suspended" I can see no reason why I would have been suspended as I have done nothing out of order, so I'm assuming the site's account may have been suspended I have asked the 'management' about this on a return e-mail from the 'cofirmation of account' one, but so far have heard nothing
message for the above user^^^ yes the forum account has been suspeded. However you can log onto the new temporary forums here: TB2 Temp
well here's my 2 cents on the bunch of dead websites and former great bittorrent torrent sites [bold]Demonoid[/bold] actually I just went there today and it turns out they're still around...just looking for a new host for they're site...so I'm not sure if torrents work for thier site or what [bold]Suprnova[/bold] TB and Suprnova were two very major sites...I remember somebody telling me novasearch was like the "Google of BT" or something...but as in other stories on the net I've read,it took too much time and money and work...so they decided to do other things with thier lives [bold]ABCTorrents[/bold] abctorrents.com redirects me to some site called pisexy.com that requires a login,no register button either abctorrents.org and .net seem to be dead and give me the regular 404 No Such Site in ie and according to google, abctorrents required a invite to join...and was on the site of abctorrents.net not .org hmm anyway that's my 2 cents on the deal...oh yeah and one more thing...as far as suprnova.com,suprnova.net,and a number of other "subscription type" p2p sites...they all require you to "sign up" and pay them for service...and weither they have to do with movies, games, bit torrent, kazaa,or what, they ARE ALL SCAMS the only legit "p2p subscription services" out now (that I honestly know of) are the New "Legal" Napster and News/User-Groups (not to spam but just saying easynews is a popular pick I've heard about in this) as for all the others that sping up when you search google now for "Napster" or "Kazaa" or even the name "Torrent"...alot of them are scams also I'm not sure why,but has anybody noticed when you put in "abctorrents" on google, the first result is for some movie called the Punisher from imdb? Well if you miss torrentbits as much as i do, there's always, filelist.org, which is practically the double of torrentbits only without the xbox games. But you can still get xbox games from torrentit (which used to be 123torrents)
uhh...whats real? http://torrentbits2.proboards44.com is up, torrentbits.org is up (under legal something-or-another) and so is a site called torrentbytes.net? whats what?
Well whichever, i've got torrentbits2 in 'my favourites' and it still takes me to torrentbytes.net because a few weeks ago when i typed torrentbytes.net it took me to a totally different site, it's probably changed now.
