Lol, I got that part, and I asked you what operating system you were using.
You may have to download the Visual basic runtime files, and that should fix the error.

lol sorry it posted twice for some reason, urmm windows, and i did download the runtime thingo and still it tells me that its out of date

 

Ok then, download this file and put it in the same folder as the PS2 Exploit utility folder, extract it there,then run the program.
Let me know if you get the same error.

Ok, try this then.
Download tabctl32.ocx and then place it to your system32 folder and overwrite the file if it exists already.
Then click the START button, select RUN and type of copy this line
"regsvr32 \windows\system32\TABCTL32.OCX" without the quotations of course.
You should then see a message saying "DllRegisterServer ... succeeded"

Hopefully that works it out.

does anybody know if this exploit will work on a V9 playstation?
cause ive done everything thats supposed to be done and its just going straight to the game instead of booting

 

Yes the exploit works on all FAT PS2's.
What steps exactly have you done so far. You made the exploit, installed it to the mc or using live CD? You imported your own PS1 ID in the title.db, it is better to do this.

Also just so you know, you are able to play PS1 backups on your V9 by using uLaunch browser. Use the latest uLaunch4.12 elf on your exploit.


* launchUle
* set "disc control ON" in the settings
* let uLaunchElf STOP the your triggerdisc in the drive
* use a slide tool or fliptop for swapping your triggerdisc for
he backup
* go to "filebrowser=>MISC=>PS2Browser"
* You'll be redirected to the standard PS2 browser in which you'll
see the "PSx cd" icon.
* Select it, play your backup!

 

i am using independence 4.1, i have added the (SCES_003.11) title.db
and have used a xploit system (xploder v5) to copy it from a flash drive
(in FAT format) to the MC, i place the disk into the ps2 and then the game loads like normal, i set the outgoing format to MC which is .XPS if i am not mistaken, i have converted it to xploder format and left it as the normal and placed them both on.
please help

 

Is your V9 a PAL system or NTSC? And you set the proper region in your exploit.
Check your mc in the PS2 Browser to make sure you have your BADATA-SYSTEM for (USA; NTSC consoles) or BEDATA-SYSTEM for (Australia, New Zealand; PAL consoles).
And in it should be something like this depending what you installed in your exploit.

Reset the Playstation 2 with your PSX Trigger disc in.
-You should now be able to see the LaunchELF Boot Screen.
