where to get xp sp1

    I just lost my m.b. so I got a new mb, cpu and ram, but my xp disk is prior to sp1. I am sure that putting in my old hard drive wont work? It is a legit disk but without sp1 I dont think I can reinstall. any one got any ideas other than buy 7

    It does work ive done it before and had the same issue and i have put my old drive in and the only thing i had to call Microsoft and tell them that my motherboard died soo they gave me a new code and then it activated and then i installed the new motherboard software and drivers.

    A friend of mine once had an issue like this, he did as borhan suggested, but M$ refused to give him a new code, saying a new MB constituted a new PC, so he would have to buy a new license.
    He ended the call, rang back and told them he had had a virus and needed to reinstall. They gave hime the key straight away.
