I have a large AVI file & used WinAVI VideoConverter to change it to a DVD setting to burn it to play on my standalone DVD player & TV. I keep getting BUP & IFO files, but no VOB files, only PDVD whatever they are. Until I get all 3 files, I cant burn to a DVD.Right? What am I doing wrong? Am I using a wrong program to convert? What can I use to make sure I get, IFO, VOB & BUP files to turn this into a playable DVD?

No vob file? It's very strange.Does the avi file can be played perfectly on your pc?And have you tried other files? If it only for this avi file, that maybe the file has broken.

try doing a search for the vob files as i know win avi has a habbit of putting files all over the place unless you specify a directory.

What do you mean when you say (PDVD files whatever they are) Be more specific. What files is WinAVI putting out?

Also next time you try to convert. Choose your C: drive for the directory to output the files. You should get a folder named DVD_01_1 or something towrods that name with VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders inside it and the files inside the VIDEO_TS folder.

You could be finding the work folder of WinAVI and not the actual output folder with the correct files in it.
