Don't get a starview 4, they took too long to fix the problem, and only released a fix for their latest box.

    Get the kryptview!!

hi all, this is a tech. question, well sort of SG! i have a multimedia player that i can connect to my tv via hdmi, scart or av cable and it connects to computer with usb could i use this with a sv4 to record tv?and is the lack of updates the only difference with the sv4 and the kryptview?
    cheers!

from what i understand, the main difference between the two boxes is the level of support,ie kryptview were nearly always up to date as for starview who only pulled their finger out a few weeks ago and will only support their latest model,NOT the thousands of other models they sold.( i know which onre i would choose based on this info alone)
as for the media player,i believe the maximum hard drive that can be connected is 259 gig and has to be formatted to FAT32 - check out a thread from yesterday named starview4 pvr usb
    hope this helps

afternoon all, besides the obvious support issue, in terms of features which box is better (the SV4 or Kryptview).I'm dublin based on the nthell. From my own previous experience with SV3's and the eurovox (red) i found the eurovox to be way better when it came to epg, program info and setting up fav's etc. Is SV4 more of the same as its predecessor except it can be used on Nag2? I don't mind spending a few quid extra if the kryptview has better features.............. even if i only get a few months out of it. Any feedback appreciated. Cheers
