as stated, what chip do you guys recommend for a version 9 playstation 2 system? also, which one is easiest to install and is there a no solder chip for the version 9? thanks
The 2 best chips period are the DMS 4 Pro or Lite and the Matrix Infinity. http://teammodders.com/ps2_mc.php?ex=2#26 Both autoboot everything. Yes there is a solderless modchip called the DMS 4 EZI. It has the same functionality as the DMS 4 Lite and Pro, but is $30 more than the solder chips.
I recommend the DMS 4 EZI becasue its the only soldier less chip,I personally have the matrix infinity and it works great
yeah i might get a chip for mine then, i had an older ps2 that could play back ups with just an action replay, an original game, a slide card and nothing else, i got a slightly newer version and it wont play backups at all, i am definitely going to get a chip
what chip are you going to get i have a good guide in the ps2 general read it ,resize ur image its too big
