Do some research and go with what is rated reliable, and is affordable to you. I own three burners a Lite-on, Nec and HP Lightscribe bought from WalMart for 89.00. They all work well, it is your decision as to what you want.
I agree with wild77 Go for the Plextor 716SA (if you have an SATA MB), if not the 716A is excellent, and has been on sale lately at verious sites/stores. I just bought another one for 109.00 - 30.00 rebate. Still more expensive than NEC or Pioneer online, but IMHO a better drive. I don't have any hard data to support this claim, so I don't want to get flamed by all the hardcore NEC and Pioneer users, this i just my personal experience/opinion.
Pioneer all the way for me. I have 3 108s, they all perform effortlessly & with top results. Pulsar I like to put a spanner in the works! LOL
