Hello all, I have been looking at tigerdirect and would like some opinions on these burners: Samsung SH-S223C Plextor PX-880SA Pioneer DVDRW SATA Internal DVD/CD Writer Or does anyone have any recommendations?
I actually own the Pioneer (different model number but same drive), and it is a good enough drive but not the best. Pioneer started using a different chipset in their drives and doesn't appear to be as good as their older drives - you shouldn't need it, but there haven't been many firmware updates either. It is also a little noisier than I'm used to, and that is quite an expensive price. Plextor are generally good drives but again they are expensive. Not sure about the Samsung.
