Up until now I have been using DVD+R disks with a DVD+RW external writer (Cendyne)for backing up my DVD's.
I have now been given 100 DVD-R (Taiyo Yuden)disks, and it makes sense to use them. My writer will not however write to them so I am looking to purchase a DVD-R writer, as a second unit could be handy. I did a search on AfterDawn but without success. Can anyone recommend a unit?

As I live in a rural area and there are no specialist shops, only supermarkets, purchasing is normally through the Internet, which means I am unable to view prior to purchasing. (In any case, the French are not exactly knowledgeable with regard to the latest units).
