Ive heard good things about BenQ 1640, nec 3550a, any others? PLEX? Something that will burn/read flawlessly. Something where the laser lasts forever. Something that will let me change booktype. any good online places to buy from besides newegg? (places that have been used buy afterdawn addicts) thanks in advance
I dream of finding a burner that is all that ! Right now, in my opinion, the closest thing to what you want would be the 'impossible to find' BenQ DW1640 .. probably because dollar for dollar it's the best burner up to this point It's being replaced, for better or worse, by the DW1650 .. hopefully soon to be available in the USofA .. until then, you'd have to settle for the BenQ DW1655 (LightScribe) .. Of course you can always get the Plextor PX740 which IS a BenQ DW1640 made by BenQ and rebadged by Plextor ... As far as an on-line vender of PC hardware that has great service and reasonable prices ... well here's my top three: NewEgg NewEgg NewEgg get the picture?
