Hi, ive sucsessfully softmodded using the splintercell patching method and SID files, i created back-ups of my C+E folders, ftp'd into my xbox, installed XBMC and copied the C+E drives onto my PC for backup. now all i need to know is which files and folders are no longer needed on the HDD? i'd like to make the most of the 8 gigs ive got! thanks in advance!
list the names of your files and folders on the root of each partition and i'll tell you which ones you an delete (if any).

Looks like the only things safe to delete are your emulators, your games and maybe the backup folder. Though make sure you back everything up to your computer before attempting to delete files. The backup folder should contain your C partition files which ends up being a decent amount of space. The only reason to save them would be to revert your xbox back to a retail dash. I don't see any main folders like "media" listed in the 2 main dashes (C and E) so that leads me to believe that you're actually booting the files that are in your apps folder. I've never seen a I drive, that must be your memory card. x y z are cache partitions and Q is a partition made up by xbmc, you can only see it and access it in xbmc. So see what's in your backup folder and throw it to your computer before deleteing it completely off your xbox.
thanks buddy, yeah, i guessed that about the backup folder -i've aleady saved the whole lot to my PC but i didnt want to delete it without checking first, you've been a great help, maybe soon i'll think about upgrading the HD, but it all looks a bit daugnting at the mo'... ah how it feels to be a softmodding noobie again - my PSP noobie days seem so long ago!
