i have a radeon 9600 pro video card and an invidia geforce 7600 gt.the best of the two is going into my computer.the other in my kids computer.i realize these are not top end cards, but which one is best?thanks Al.
The Nvidia 7600 is a PCI express (16X) card and the ATI 9600 looks like its AGP (8X). Your much better off with the Nvidia card. http://ati.amd.com/products/radeon9600/radeon9600pro/specs.html http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce_7600.html
thanks.thats pretty much my way of thinking here as well.i put the ati in the kids comp.and kept my invidia in mine.cheers.
You can get PCIe versions of the 7600GT as well as AGP. The 9600 Pro can only be 8x AGP. Indeed, the 7600GT is the better card, simply because it's newer. aldan - check what slot you have, if both cards are AGP and you only have a PCIe slot you'll need to buy a new card regardless.
