I'm using a Hauppauge 1950 to convert my videos to digital. It creates two file formats of the same captured video ( .ts and .mpg ).

I'm planning on using Womble to edit and burn onto DVD's for my kids. Does it matter which of these two file formats I grab or are they basically the same?

    Thanks!

MediaInfo will tell you if there's any difference in bitrate/resolution of the two videos.
