did you know you could edit your post instead of making a new one? If you're gonna buy the chip online then make sure that the site is reputable or you could go to the matrix infinity official site and see who they have listed as resellers.

Crap clones look REALLY crap....I remember the picture in one of the threads...

Anyway, a Matrix Infinity (Green Dot) will have a green dot in the top left corner of the main chip (forgot the name) and will also have the word 'Infinity' imprinted on the back of the chip. Apart from that, it looks very nice. The clones have none of these, and they don't look too great.

None of these look into Crystal Chip, a new one just came out if im not mistaken and the advantage these chips have is on the fly Dna$ patching. Which means you dont need to patch your games with a Dna$ code, just pop a backup in the drive and its will patch the code as soon as u get online.

    Lets answer Mattym123's questions....

    Q) Is the Matrix Infinity a good modchip?
    A) Yes. It is priced competitively against other leading mochips, and is packed with features (such as the ability to play multi-disc PSX backups.) If you want to get some more info, you can check out Tokijin's Modchip FAQ (http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/304534.)

    Q) How can you tell if your DVD Burner can burn Dual Layer Discs?
    A) I suppose that you got your computer with a DVD burner and did not actually buy it in a box to install into your computer. In that case, use Nero's Infotool (free with most bundled burning software from your supplier) and it should check whether or not your drive supports it. There are also lots of free tools online to check this as well.

    Q) How do I know whether or not the Matrix Infinity is real or not?
    A) The Matrix Infinity should look exactly like the photos on the website you ordered it from. If not, then its a fake :( The real Matrix Infinity will also have the word Infinity imprinted on the back of the chip in the bottom left hand corner.
