    Hi,

I'm a new member, and I wanted to ask about which modchip I should choose for my Xbox.

I have a 1.0v Xbox made in Mexico, and have about $45 spending limit.

Please list the following with andy ideas you have:

    Name
    Price
    What BIOS I might need
    Solder-less or not
Whatever I may need to make a backup game disk.

    Thank you for ANY help,

I would go with the Xecuter 3 or Xenium (preferabbly the X3!)

    Price: $50-60
Bios: Newest X3 bios, 3238 is newest as of now
Solderless: Yes, but the special solderless adapter is an extra $20-30. And if you have a ver 1.6 you cannot use the solderless adapter.

You will need a program on your computer, such as Craxtion 4 or Qwix 1.01. These programs will allow you to ftp into your Xbox and pull the data from the disc in your Xbox drive to your PC's HD. Or if you upgrade your HD you can just ftp into the Xbox and drag the file back to your computer. You can also DL games to your HD on your Xbox if you have an upgraded HD w/ DVD2Xbox. If you want to spend a little more $$ and have everything taken care of, check out this site for a professional mod install. http://webpages.charter.net/modchipzone/ Even if you don't want an install done, check out that site, it's great!
