    Which version of Nero 7 is the best one, Premium or Ultra edition or are they both the same thing?

    TIA

    I'm in the US, but I've use Nero 7 Premium and so far so good. No issues for me whatsoever.

    I agree with creaky, I found Nero 7 to be absolute crap, I ended up uninstalling it because of problems it caused.

    I'm back with Nero 6 now and I'll stay with it.

    If it ain't stuffed don't fix it.

    I guess it's best for those that were having issues left to right with Nero 7 to go back to 6.6.0.18.

    Hmmmm... but seriously I've never ran into any issues or bugs with my Nero 7 Premium since I got it on late October 2005.

    According to this thread only, it looks like Nero 7 Premium is the "winner" (all of us 7 Premium users don't have any issues whatsoever). Isn't it ironic?

    I'm sure that the people that have problems with Nero have some other apps or something on their PC that are causing the conflicts, and probably don't even know that they are there. I know in the past I was guilty of just DL'ing a bunch of crap that I didn't know what it was, and my machine suffered because of it....lesson learned.

    Depends on the drive , but i reckon you will get 7 , my father in law bought an lg burner and he got 6 with it that was only 3/4 wks ago , but 7 is a good version i agree with LOCOENG , that alot of people prob have software that conflicts with it .I personally like it never had any trouble

    I've order the BenQ DQ60 which is the updated DW1640.

    Crossing my fingers that its a good one.

    I plan to master it to my LG and use the LG as the reader and burn with the DQ.

    No arguments there LOCOENG ;) however I'm damned if I'm going to waste time looking for the conflicting program/s and possibly have to uninstall them, losing good working applications, just so I can use Nero 7 when Nero 6 does all I need it to do anyway.

    @LOCOENG

    I hadn't even considered a NEC. I was comparing three, the BenQ, Plextor, and LG.

    My LG has been great so far so I was considering a 4167, or the 716A plextor that arniebear recommends, and the BenQ that Saugmon, speaks so highly of. I guess sauggy convinced me to give it a try and for under $50.00.

    There'll be another time LOL

    Cheers.

    I had a few problems with Nero Ultra 7.0, but when I uninstalled it then reinstalled it and upgraded to the latest version 7.0.1.4 it has worked fine, my only complaint is that this program tries to do way too much. Still prefer CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD though... Just my humble opinion.

    @umug

    I wouldn't try searching for the offending programs(s) either, it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack...not for me. I was just making a general statement.
