Hi guys. I own a eurovox max v box, I tried updating chanels via pro scan and have lost sky premier, sky sports x, setanta sports news and 1 and many more. So am now thinking of buying a new box. Is there anyone which will get me these channels back with ease of use? Was thinking of going back to an old starview box, as all my mates still have all chanels. The new Eurovox ex500, hoping this will just plug and play and get all chanels. Or can anyone recommend a new or old box which meet my needs? Cheers all. Dave
No need to buy a new box, at all. Where are you located and what service provider are you using? You could get a CDF file for your provider/area and load it onto your box.
Located in South Wales Swansea, and using VM. Whats a CDF file mate, aint been on here for a while. I flashed the unit back in April if that is of any use? But that just rearanged all the chanels.
Should that be do or don't, Malci ? CDF file is channel data file, but Malci's suggestion is probably more sensible.
Trying the factory reset now. Any Idea what the Symbol rate is for S Wales, Swansea? If this fails, can you recommend a box? Had a good innings with this box, would just like to know if there was something more reliable and user friendly to set up out there at the mo? Cheers.
Thanks guys. Just got it all sorted. I might now sell this box to a mate for £80. So will be purchasing a new one soon. Problem I get is that I use a splitter and some chanels fail to show up. Is there a box out there with a built in booster or would I need to buy a seperate booster to solve this? And how does everyone get along with the EX500 or the Starview 3? And what are the main differnces between them, apart from the HD that is lol. Thanks again guys for the quick response to my situation earlier!
P.S One more quick Q! Would any of the above boxes need to have a firmware update on them, or would they be readily installed. If so, what firmware should they both be running at? Just need to make sure, as I don't fancy flashing a new box! Thanks!!
there is a signal booster on the maxv just press menu config tv settings last option tv booster-on.
Cheers Karljd. Your a top man! Can you recommend a new box, or would you say to stick with the one I got?
