My old DVD-RW burner is slowly but surely dying...I tried everything to fix it. So which of these 2 DVD+/-RW drives should I get? NEC ND-2510A http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=27-152-023&depa=0 or Lite-On SOHW-812S http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=27-106-933&catalog=23&manufactory=BROWSE It doesn't matter that much to me to have a dual layer drive but should I get the NEC dual just to have for the future incase dual layer becomes a big hit. It's only a few bucks more. Which would be better for me? I am on a limited budget and can't spend any more than $80. I'm not looking for top of the line. I know Sony has a dual layer drive out that is much more money. Why is NEC so much cheaper? Should I get it over the Lite-On...like I said, dual layer isn't my top priority at the moment. I was only looking for a good burner that can burn my regular DVD-5 discs when i stumpled upon this one. Thank You for your help!!!
NEC is cheaper because they are of a lower calibre than LiteON. If you dont have an immediate use for Dual Layer, dont spend money on it because by the time you do, odds are Dual Layer willl have matured more Reccomendation: the Litey.
Is this any good or is the other Lite-On still better? Pioneer 107 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=44956&item=5109764844&rd=1 Also what's the difference between the 107 and the A07? Thank You!!!
