Which one is better? HDLoader/Advance OR USB Extreme/Advance ?

Hi .

I Have a normal modded PS2 (v3) and I want to play games using a hdd .

But what is the best program to use ? HDLoader/Advance OR USB Extreme/Advance ?

And is the USB hdd fast in loading times like the normal hdd ? and what about the games compatibility for the USB Extreme/Advance ?

HD Loader needs as bigger TOC File, Advanced 2.0 has a built in largest TOC file but comes with two disks upossed to the one HDLoader disk. I have no problems with HD Advanced 2.0 Go with what ever you have. USB 2.0 is not as fast as the IDE connection if you want USB Extreme. HD Advanced 2.0 is the best choice in my eye.

 

Well your eye has been deceived Icehawk. HdAdvance is supposedley a rip-off of HDloader. So in my opinion go with the original manufacturer and I believe the latest version 3.3 is even better and it supports alot more games and hard drives.

Hey Yassagani, when you mentioned v3.3 were you talking about HD Loader, or advanced? Because I went to google and searched for a v3.3 or loader and didn't find one. As far as I heard from almost everyone HD loader is weaker since it only can only use up to a 160GB HD, while HD Advanced can format a 200GB HD. As far as how many games work with what program, that i would like ato know as well, but suffice it to say that the newest and best games will not work when you put it on a HD unless you do alot of manipulation of the files (i wish i majored in computer science instead of English, Communications, and a Minor in Italisn) Damn BA's.

 

by the way, sorry about the misspelled errors, I am very sleepy. Typing these damn term papers is kinda cool, but takes alot out of you.

x_Totti_x, if your PS2 is modded, then install a memory card exploit containing the newer HDLoader. It's the best HD program for PS2, with the exception of Toxic OS 0.3 possibly. And, it's free. Skip Extreme, and HDA.

 

well i bookmarked the website that has a list of all games that can backup to the hd useing hdadvanced, but what i dont get is that my friend said he tried to backup gt4 and it didn't work. is ther a website that might have some faq's about what to do.

as far as the other hdloader version or any other program, where would i be abel to read up on what is best for me? i've seen some stuff but as far as i've been able to understand hdadvanced is the one for me. if i am wrong, let me know.

 

i just did a quick search on google for you and i believe gt4 needs to be patched in order to walk with hd advance
