With my Eurovox ex5000 PVR losing all good channels over the last few days after 20 months of bliss, i came on looking for a fix. I see now that there isn't any for this box after looking thru all the Q&As about this.Looking at what the senior members say its looks a choice between the Kryptview A780 or the Starview6 to get me watching again. Do either or both of them have to be routed thru your broadband or the way i have been doing it straight off the wall thru my cable into the box and which one would be the best bet to get. Thank for your replies.

can you read? if not we will try to help. however it is difficult if you are both blind and deaf. please let us know how best to use a medium that you can be comfortable with. indeed i guess it is possible that we could use spiritual mediums if that is what is required in your case. otherwise feel free to maybe read a thread or two if this is possible in your case?

I didn't expect a smart arse reply i'm not blind or deaf and as the threads dont talk to you that would make no difference if i was deaf, when i said i looked thru some of the threads i picked couple out that said there is no update for my box so save wasting your time i never asked if it could be sorted. Then i asked for an opinion to which one might be the best to get and seeing you seniors know more than i do i would have gone with the majority. Maybe with your brain going into freefall with all the answers you have to cope with i think a week away from here may help.

to cut a story short, you will have to connect to your broadband.

Well to cut a short story even shorter, its been covered in countless posts, on how they work, how to flash, how to connect and where to etc etc, so you didn't really read anything did you? If you did you have seen the other countless posts on which one to go for and why....... But yet you ask the same question? Am I missing something? Did we all tell lies on those other posts you claim to have read?

Secondly, I responded to Fints posts, not yours,

I love how people create a post asking the same thing that 100's of others have answered or joined in and then when they get short scrift answer wise, they become the victim and were the villians,

    Two words - Search Button

And then actually read what you claimed to already, instead of creating a post which, you contradict yourself in

I didn't read all the posts just a few on the box i have to see if anything could be done about it which i found there was nothing so that saved me asking and wasting your time.I know little about them and dont understand all there is on flashing etc ect so if i do get another one wanted to know not what to waste my money on. There are ways to answer questions to people who are not as clever as the Senior members on this site why do it with sarcasm. If you asked me on a subject that i know a lot more about than you even if you asked some stupid questions i'd explain in better detail than "are you blind or deaf"

With all due respect, its been covered to death and in fine detail, if you do a search you will come across posts which compare and break down the boxs in question, if you had done that from the off and then come back with a query, by all means, but at least ya took the time to do a bit of reading and reasearch, if it werent covered already, by all means, ask away, but when a subject is covered like the SV6 v Kryptview etc and some one posts "do I plug these in to the net" or to that effect, it shows the person hasnt bothered to even search for existing posts, which answer that and a lot lot more and in fact there isnt a lot that hasnt been covered on these boxs, from where to buy, firmware, flashing them, connecting them etc etc, But do we or should we have to keep typing the same answers time and time again, when a simple search can answer the question you ask?

Regarding Fints answer to ya, I will leave that up to yerselves to debate

no debate. i was, as you say mickah, abrupt. however, considering the fact i don't even have a kv or sv box, with all the information posted on this site i would have one up and running in 10 minutes. so if i can do it from this information available why can't others. as you say its pointless seeing the same posts over and over again. within the first page of threads available on this forum there is all anyone would need to know. so i suggest that people read the darn things before they post.

@ fint, I agree with ya totally mate and when ya tell em to read or search, ya get the "I am not as technical as you" reply, since when is effin reading technical? They have the kop on to get on the net, create a post, but not technical enough to actual read some posts, it astounds me everytime and then your the bad guy for not spoonfeeding them, while others trip them selves up to spoonfeed them and make the problem worse!

Absolutely agree lads. I just don't bother posting when this happens as maybe when they're waiting for an answer they might actually bother to read some posts.

Is there really any need for this kind of abuse?
The guy is only asking a question. Don't answer it or even reply to it if it upsets you so much.
You really have gone on about it havent you? That goes for all the other lot
siding with you, like a bunch of schoolboys.
    Lighten up man.
