to answer all your post ill start with smartripper and dvd decrypter both do the same thing, you only need one (i use decrypter). if you are about to use dvd2one then i think a 3 hour movie would turn out on par with a vhs if not slightly better (movie only). by the way there is a program (free)called dvdshrink103 which is just as good as dvd2one. you asked about soundtracks, well, a dvd can hold loads of different audio and in different languages so when you use dvd2one it will give you the option to pick one or all so just tick english 6ch and you will be happy plus by getting rid of the others you are leaving more space for a better quality movie. as for media i would recommend ritek or any disc with a ritek dye like traxdata and zero defex, should be fine for any player. thingimijig. any probs just post.
