Ok everyone, I am about to upgrade my receiver and I have it narrowed down to two dfferent Onkyo models: TXSR606 or TXSR706. What is the main difference between the two that I should be aware of. I noticed that they both have 4 HDMI inputs, which is good for me, but is there anything else that makes the 706 better than the 606??? Thanks for the help! Carl
The 706 has a little more power. The 706 has pre-outs, in case you want to add an external amp. The 706 has a phono input. The 706 has 3 optical inputs. 606 has 2. The 706 has 1080p upscaling. The 706 is THX certified, if that means anything to you. The 706 has certified 4 ohm performance.
