which product is better

    Both are good, but the Verbs get more thumbs up around here.
    I'd pick the Verbatim slightly over the Sony Disks.

    if you knew the sony's were made in japan they would be the better of the 2. but yo dont know for sure. so to be safe go with the verbs.

    Staple's has the 100 pks of sony on sale this week for $25. There's a chance of getting Ty-G03 in the spindles that say made in japan,along with a white foam octagon spacer.

    I'd go with the Verbatim if all those sony turned out being made in Taiwan. The taiwanese sony are still decent,but not taiyo yuden or Mitsubishi.
