Im new to burning dvds, ive got the following software on my comp: dvd shrink, dvd decrypter, daemon tools, nero. i want to make copys of my dvds and i was wondering in what order do i use these programs and basic guides for them? any help is much appreciated cheers
If you don't know I would buy Anydvd it runs in the background so your Pc can burn it you know they try 24/7 to block you from doing this and there many ways to burn backups from there please read the guides on AD
doug1986, If the DVD you are trying to copy ISN'T protected, here is a great guide for using DVD Shrink: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/how_to_copy_dvd_with_dvd_shrink.cfm DVD Shrink is best freeware out there for shrinking a DVD. If the DVD you are trying to copy IS protected, here is a great guide for using RipIt4Me: http://www.ripit4me.org/guide.html There are three freeware programs you need with this and they are all posted on this guide. I have tried many, many different freeware programs for protected DVD's, this is the fastest and easiest to use.
Below is a link that has guides showing you how to make backups of your DVD's. The guides are compliments of bbmayo. There is a guide in the list on how to use DVD Decrypter plus DVD Shrink. The best part of his homepage is he has guides for other program combo's that you can use. Evryones prefrence will be diffrent on what programs are the best to use for backing up your DVD's. You will not get a definitive answer on which program is the best because everyone will tell you something diffrent. (becuase that is there prefrence) So I would suggest to try out the diffrent guides and combos on his site and choose the combo you like best. http://bbmayo.home.comcast.net/guides.htm
Shrink & Decrypter are the two most important ones in my book. These will do most of your DVD's. However, on some of the newer ones you will need DVDFab Decrypter as well(also free) to rip it to your hard drive first. As stated above, bbmayo has some great guides on the use of these programs. Don't be alarmed, in the beginning it seems like a lot, but when you are up and running, it is very simple. A side note, I only select movie only with english as language, as I use the remote to select through chapters.
