Sup people at afterdawn I am currently shopping at newegg and was planning on getting a low budget great video card. Like I said before not looking for a monster video card that costs 400 bucks, looking for something that can handle the games fairly and maintain a couple of years without needing great resolution or great FPS. Price range nothing more than a hundred bucks, you can add a video card and I'll look it up at newegg. So I decided on getting the Radeon 9600. The only thing is that there's two that seem to be great but confused on which one to get. One is the SAPPHIRE ATLANTIS RADEON 9600 Core clock- 325Mhz 258mb DDR It has 72 reviews so far, and it has nothing but good comments about it handling the newest games. I also read one of the customers reviews and it mentioned working with the same cpu that I have. The second is JetWay 96XT-AD-256C Radeon 9600XT Core clock- 500Mhz 256mb DDR It has 20 reviews so far, it balances out the same with the other one except the core clock is 500 instead of 325Mhz. They said the only downside is the sound and that its loud, to tell you the truth I care less about sound and care more about performance. Note- (If you guy's found something better at newegg.com and its lower than a hundred bucks please post a link below or let me know, your comments will be greatly appreciatedabout the video cards) Here are the links to the products. Sapphire is definitely a better manufacturer...but the 9600XT is faster. The 9600XT should have a decent memory clock if its core clock is 500Mhz. I'd go with the 9600XT, its a better GPU. BTW for an extra $20 more after rebate....you could get this card....which blows the 9600 and 9600XT out of the water. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130220
No problem. For only $20 with no rebates to mess with....try this....which also blows the 9600 cards out of the water. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814131307
