Which video files formats can play Windows Media Player 9.0?

    Which video files formats can play Windows Media Player 9.0 [bold] without installing any additional codecs[/bold]?(on default Windows XP installation).

    I"m not sure you can Play anything without any Codecs installed accept maybe WMV format but even that Format needs to have the WMV9 Runtime Package installed...Maybe "Microsoft Mpeg-4 v1" ?? Why don"t you just see what codecs are installed on your PC and then you will Know what Formats you can Play....

    If you Simply install the "FFDShow Decoder" you will be able to Play Back allmost every Single AVI Format there is....
