    Hi Dindi304

Bitsetting +R's to DVD-Rom will solve your worries about compatibility issues. You must have a dvd burner that is capable of bitsetting (booktyping). Make sure you use reputable media, ie: TY's, Verbatim, and other recommended media.

I recently came across this article which explains bitsetting. Some things have changed since 2004. TDK is no longer a recommended media and burning speeds have increased, but the gist of bitsetting is there.

    Here's the how to:

I have alway used bitsetting and can attest to the merits. My main player is 6 years old and I use it for testing. If it plays on it, it will play on all others, whether family or taking over to friends.
