Whisper fan = ban?

Hi, Would replacing the original xbox360 fan with a whisper fan result in getting banned, i seem to remember a thread somewhere about this but could not find it, cheers.

 

thats funny, i remember hearing that rumor when i put mine in too ( something about MS can detect the diff. voltage i think) ive had mine for a year and a half and no ban. youre safe.

worst thing that could happen is the good ole RROD. other than that your fine.

 

I remember this issue. I think the main point is that if they draw power from the DVD ROM drive power then this may cause the DVD drive not to register and that will get you band.

 

that was just a rumor. some people drop their xboxes and the connector come loose.

 

not a rumor, it has been confirmed that MS checks the voltage every time you sign on to live. wether or not they act upon it is a different story.
