I am having trouble with a moving white box appearing in my converted mpeg video files. I thought it might be because I was using an aquired version of Cucusofts Avi converter, so I bought the software. I uninstalled and re-installed the new software several times and still no joy. Then I tried DVDSanta, and the same thing happens in it. Is it the codecs that is causing this?. I tried installing all of the codecs available on the Cucusoft site and still have the problem. The box is not in the original avi files. I am using WinXp Pro...unfortunately. Thanks.
Does it look Like a sort of White CheckerBoard Pattern in a Square?? If so then the Square isn"t actually Part of the Video but is Just Overlayed over the Image when Playing it back...This is caused from haveing a Demo version of the "Elecard Mpeg-2 Decoder" Install on your System...Many Codec Packs will Install this decoder on your System.... If you Play Back the Mpeg files in a software DVD Player Like "WinDVD" or "PowerDVD" then the Logo should not be Displayed over the Video.... Cheers
Thank you for the reply. I would have been searching forever. All of these new fast conversion programs use this codec it seems, so my only option to avoid this annoyance is to use tempgnc and infoedit, I guess. Any other suggestions?.
Well the Square isn"t actually in the Mpeg file it is only Displayed over top of the Mpeg file when Playing it back on your PC...If you were to author the files to DVD there white Square should not be there.... You should maybe Un-Install this Decoder from your System and Install a Software DVD Player Like WinDVD or PowerDVD which will Install a Mpeg-2 decoder that doesn"t Display a white Box over out Video..... Cheers
