Guys, I have heard a ton of rumors as to burning movies at 4x with the Pioneer A06U. But I have also heard many people say they can only do DATA at 4x but movies at 2x??? Questions: 1) Who is backing up MOVIES at 4x? 2) What software are you using? (Nero, CloneDVD, etc) 3) What media are you using? (TDK, Ritek, Princo, etc)? 4) What is the process for doing so? Anyone who can end the "rumor mill" - please do so. Thanks, Mayor
Have burnt plenty of movies at 4x with that burner, using cheap 4x media (INFO SMART, made by Maxell) and both Nero 5xx and 6xx.
I got my A06 about two weeks ago. Been using DVDShrink and Nero 6.0 to burn. Had some successes and some failures using Verbatim 2X disks. More successes than failures (image studdering) using TDK 2X disks. These disks have been on-sale at my local retailer for about $2 a pop, so the coasters have been painful, but not too bad. I bought a spindle of these (http://www.esbuy.com/4xpiobrdvdip.html) last week, being attracted to the Pioneer brand and 4X burning at $1.50 a disk). Burned my first movie at 4X and watched it play flawlessly a few hours ago. I'm a happy guy... Chris
Most everyone on this forum who owns a 4X writer is burning at 4X at this time. I'm one of them, this forum is the place for the info you need ,keep reading and you'll find the answer to your dreams.
hi all if you use the nero trick to see actual write speed i posted here mine burns mostly along at 4.1X on a pioneer dvdr106d this is to show in nero the actual real time write speed to see what your drives actually run at! 1, run regedit 2, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/software/ahead/Nero - Burning Rom/Recorder 3, then on ShowSingleRecordSpeed change the value from "0" to "1" VIOLA! VERY PLEASED! worth every penny! thx....
