I'm just being curious. Some time ago I bought four 25-Disc spindles of Sony 8X. Three of them were made in Japan and coded YUDEN000T02, but the other one was made in Taiwan and coded SONYD11. I started using the YUDEN ones, and it wasn't util this week that I started using the D11 variety. After running them through DVDInfo I noticed the quality of the D11 is kinda questionable. I'm getting mixed results with them. Here's my typical YUDEN000T02 scan Now the "Good" SONYD11 And the Bad SONYD11
Sony MIT media is made by Daxon. As has been stated countless times in numerous fora, Sony MIT media is OK, but you should stick with MIJ, either TY or Sony made. Although the codes for non-TY Sony media are the same whether MIT or MIJ, the MIJ is much better media. MIJ, MIJ, MIJ. How many times does this have to be repeated?
It's freeware, but they suggest making a donation. I always refer peeps to the free version with adverts.I'd download it,after a week it would expire, then dl it again/again/and again. http://www.dvdinfopro.com/ I've been using nero speed test's quality test scan.Seem a little quicker than dvdinfopro, plus dvdinfopro never gave me a score.I'd have to go with the total PIF's.
On my dvdinfopro scans, the score is grayed out. Don't know why? This newer version of nero6 gives me the nerospeed tests. This quality test was grayed out in my older nero oem 6.0.0.21b
