Who Runs/owns after dawn because it is a great site but y do they endourse 321 studios and dvdxcopy it sucks and everyone hatesit
dRD, Oner and mayber another own it. 321 studios pay their wages via advertisments and the forum etc.
DVDXCopy is good if you now how to make it work fine. And most people have no problems, I know many newbies that are extremely happy using DVD X Copy Express.
So much for the topic but i dont know how u can diss a program that dose exactly what it says on the tin well if it was in a tin and i have to say after discovering dvd x made me think how much of my life other programs had wasted so RiPsTeR01 i think your on your own mate
Oner and other guys with "Moderator" status don't "run" the site. They moderate forums, but don't get salary from AfterDawn or own parts of the site. All guys -- except cd-rw.org -- with "Admin" in their status, do own part of the site. Site is mainly run by three guys: Ketola, me and cd-rw.org (who owns cd-rw.org, but we co-operate in very many areas). We don't exactlt endorse 321's products, but recognize their products to be good for the purpose they were built. And they were the first company to do "one-click DVD to DVDR tools" that gives them quite a lot of credibility. Our only connection to them is the fact that they advertise on our site and we make certain part of our ad income from them. They don't "pay us" in other means nor do they own part of our company/site.
Whether you like 321's software or not, they deserve a lot of credit for looking straight at the MPAA and giving them a big middle finger. They're putting their money where their mouth is and fighting the good fight for sellers, programmers and users of burning software. Although I don't use their software much anymore I'm glad some of the money I paid for it is helping them fight. My hat's off to you for an outstanding site dRD. Thanks. We hope to improve the site further during the next couple of months, we have long list of improvements and new ideas that we plan to implement. I think that we've managed to stay away from these. We're rather militant towards "annoying" ads and try to block all the super annoying ads that our ad networks try to push for our site. And even that we have pops on our site, we've never had popups -- just popunders -- and only one pop per visit per user, to make them less annoying (but still generate some extra income for us).
