OK, I've apparently picked up a new "something" that Isn't being picked up by any of the normal scanners, and I can't find any reports of the behavior on the web.

It appears to be a "targeted" redirect/spoof. I logged into my bank site and was presented with an official looking page asking me for the normal information, including my PIN number, which I know that NO one asks for.

I received a similar page when paying for an item using a Mastercard, and I received a similar page when accessing my eBay account.

It is localized to one computer in my house, as I was able to access my bank site and eBay normally on other computers in my house as well as from work.

The problem is, that since I can't find any references to it on the web (maybe I am not characterizing it correctly in my seach), I am assuming this is something newly reported or under-reported.

To any of the "hunters" out there, where would you go in reporting this?

AVG free didn't pick it up, nor did Spybot, nor Malware Ati-bytes, but then again my Malware scan didn't finish properly and I'm trying it again.

    Any help appreciated.

    Hi dailun,

LOL! my first question is are you using cracked/patched copies dl from the net? if you are there is your problem! i noticed you wrote that u have FREE AVG installed onto your system, that for me is a BIG NO NO.

rule no.1 pay for your anitivirus and anitispyware programs and you wont have these issues!

i have used Norton's basic vers. for about $60 (austrailian dollars)and the genuine xp windows firewall, i have been using this set up for about 4yrs now and never ever had a problem now with viruses, the malwarebytes is the only free vers. i run as just a walware removal tool.

trust me i went down that road dl hacked/cracked vers. and gets u no where, but just reformatting my harddrives every 6 months was getting really annoying.

so my answer is simply this is all your protection full versions?
if they are and you have paid for them ring them up and they will fix your problem for you at no extra charge!
