I have a question about DVD Decrypter. Why is it when I try to read a disc as an ISO file, it doesn't rip it as a straight ISO file?? When I click to rip it as ISO, it rips a handful of these "IOO" files it looks like? I don't remember it doing that in the past when I first had it. Did I change a setting and not realize it? I just want it to rip as a straight ISO to my HD... isn't that the better and easier route anyway? DVD Shrink seems to be doing a similar thing too... not ripping it as an ISO file, but as an MDS file... Why is it doing this? Please help... Thank you
It would seems your HDD is formatted as FAT32 and not NTSC. This will break your files into 1 gig chunks. You can select the MDS when doing a project and everything will be put back together in the correct order.
Unless you are ripping old movies or backups, you might also want to change to DVDFab HD Decrypter...DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink are not able to handle the new titles...
Hi LOCOENG, So then would changing my HDD from fat32 to NTFS fix this issue that when I read/rip a movie as ISO in Dvd Shrink and will it include a file ending in .ISO? And then how would I go about changing my HDD to NTFS? Do I do it in the software itself or on the hard drive? Is there even an overall difference when viewing a movie burned as an .MDS compared to a .ISO? That's why I'm doing all of this, b/c I'm assuming burning a straight .ISO to a DvdR is better quality than the .MDS file since the MDS is a smaller size? or no? (Keep in mind, when it's time to burn, I'd be either using the write mode as ISO option with Dvd Decrypter, or burning an image burn with Nero) I hope I'm saying this all correctly... Sorry if I'm confusing you at all, just trying to follow as best I can here... Thank you
