it seems that all the disc i have bought in the last few weeks from wal-mart is coding out cmc mag , they don't have much to choose from but what i have bought is coding cmc mag , if cmc mag sucks so bad as i have read here that just about everybody hates them , then why are they producing everybody's media ,also i got some memorex that was coded out richjpn , i do like them and i was wondering if there is anyway to tell which pack of memorex is richjpn and not cmc mag , i didn't know if they package or cakebox would give me a idea on which is which . the package i bought came from radioshack and they were a 25 cake box dvd+ r . does memorex still use richjpn or just strictlet cmc now . thanks

Memorex is always a crapshoot when it comes to variety of media manufacturer they use. To be perfectly blunt, hope for the best, plan for the worst when dealing with Memorex. To be perfectly safe, stick with known brands, Like Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, or Sony. However Sony has a couple of different manufacturing sites and countries in their disks as well, but no CMC disks yet. Maxell used to be top notch, but now even use CMC as I've heard.
