Greetings. I've had some bad luck getting dual layer DVD+Rs to burn properly. I seem to be creating discs with perfectly good video files but really screwed-up menus. (E.g., on a DVD of TV episodes, I can use the DVD player remote to get to the title I want to watch and it plays fine, but I can't use the original menu.) The frustrating thing is, something different seems to happen with each disc I burn! Sometimes they're 100% okay, sometimes one or two menu items won't work, and sometimes the menus are completely screwy. I've tried a couple of types of blank media and a couple of different DVD players, and had the same problem...which suggests that I'm not ripping or burning them right, I guess. I've burned many single-layer discs with DVD Shrink and Nero, and had no problems at all, so I'm not sure what's going on here. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.
why don't you try anydvd & Clonedvd2. Clonedvd2 supports dual layer disks and allows you to backup the full movie. You won't be disapointed unless you are editing episodes from single disks to make one big one, clonedvd2 and anydvd should work fine.
