Ok. I have filled and turned in applications for 3 different places: Blockbuster, Walmart, and a local supermarket. It's been 2 weeks and not one mother FREAKING one of them has called me back!!! WTF? How the [bold]HELL[/bold] am I supposed to get a job if these stupid mofo's won't even call me back and set me up for an interview? I mean wut the hell am I suposed to do?
& keep applying to other places as i refer to as the shotgun approach in that you apply to as many places as possible. better to have too many interviews than none. try job agencies.
& it takes time for things to happen. another thing to consider is that you will be competing against high school, college & university students looking for summer jobs!
But go with the one that fits youre needs or what could you handle... And try if possible the one that will give you the bigger Paycheck!!!
maybe because your 38 and have no job experience you have to be motivated,persistent, just like jim_dandy stated "convince them your the man for the job"
what are you good at, what life experience do you have. Are you what they want? Can you mould yourself into what they want? Have you tried and approached the local job agencies: they can get any one a job
Also be sure to tell them the things in that job that you CAN do, and not what you CANT. I knew Nephilim would reply to that post sooner of later... LOL
I've been unemployed since I graduated from school, 13 months. This sucks, and no one can say that I haven't tried to get a job.
The best way to get a job is get a resume printed up ,talk to the people in charge of hiring (by checking back often) and apply anywhere you freinds work or someone you know well. because sometimes getting a good job isnt what you know but WHO YOU KNOW. also your additude , the way you look or (present yourself) is very important. keep trying you will come up with something
in case you all dont remember this is the fool that cried about his mom taking care of him cause he was to lazy to grow up, he cried about not knowing how to vote, he cries about no job, when in fact he trying to get a rise out of you all, and this is the only place he post any threads is in the safty value thread, @brightman good name cause you are not bright at all, in fact I think you are a kid posting this
