    Is it a disc error youre getting?
    try different brands of media, also make sure youre using an xiso (udf) image, the xbox wont read it otherwise
    What kind of dvd drive do you have in your xbox?

    You must rename your bios to LINUXBIO.BIN and burn the disc in ISO9660 format.
    Check the User Manual on xodus-chip.com

    Check the User Manual on xodus-chip.com......This is the same problem i was having and RustyDog helped me out. You have to read th setup very careful. it is really easy once you've gone through it........

    You shouldn't. But i would check to make sure it was the same as this......

    Step 2. Editing the evox.ini file so you can Network/FTP into your XBOX.

    Open up the evox.ini file.

    Go to the section that says:

    _______________

    [Network]

    SetupNetwork = Yes
    StaticIP = No
    Ip = 192.168.0.3
    Subnetmask = 255.255.255.0
    Defaultgateway = 192.168.0.1
    DNS1 = 0.0.0.0
    DNS2 = 0.0.0.0
    ___________

    Make sure you have a YES next to SetupNetwork and also make sure that you enable FTP (see below)

    _________

    [FTP]

    Enable = Yes
    Password = xbox
    IGR = Yes

    I think your box just won't read that Memorex cd. Try some other brand.

    Ive tried burning it using a dvd-r and a cd-rw, neither have worked.

    Do you update the Bios first or do you install EvoX first? Every place I read about this stuff tells me something different. So somebody please tell me.

    you know whats weird, the samsung drive reads cdr, cdrw, dvd-r dvd+rw but NOT dvd+r, the philips drive (so Im told) reads dvd+r but not dvd+rw, the thomson im not sure what dvd format, but has major problems reading cdr, and some cdrw
    why this happened is anyones guess, maybe microsoft saw the modding possibilities and tried to make it hard, who knows, but the media problem is apparant too, the most success I think is with memorex brand, actually i use memorex all the time and havent lost a disc yet.
    it does sound like its either 1/ media
    or 2/ the disc type
