Im new to dvd burning, I burnt an iso file onto a maxell DVD+RW using my friends DVD burner (wich i bought DVD-R's for just to find out that his burner can only burn DVD+RW's <--is there any way around that so i can use my blank DVD-R's that i bought?). The trouble im running into is that when i try to read the disc on my computers DVD-ROM it wont read the disc. I burnt the iso using DVD decrypter at 2x speed. Is it because DVD+RW's are bad for trying to burn iso's? And i know for a fact the iso isnt corrupted. Please help me thanks.

    Hi there,

Use VSO Inspector, or DVDInfoPro to find out what your burner, and your friends's burner can support (Read and Write what media)

What model are they, and what is the firmware version on them.

Sometimes a firmware update might add DVD-R support to an older drive that only supported DVD+(R)(RW) in the past...
